
As a current Waterford Township Trustee, serving her second 4-year term, Karen has learned the intricacies of local government and proved successful at getting things done! Her strong voting record and participation serve as evidence that she has a conservative approach to fiscal policy guided by fair and balanced solutions. Her past work in the private business sector as a pharmaceutical representative at Bristol – Myers Squibb and non-profit sector as past president of Oakland County Children’s Village Foundation has provided her with a wealth of knowledge. Building on her past careers along with her current government experience as Township Trustee, she is well versed on evaluating and forecasting budgets along with assessing opportunities and solving challenges. She is ready to apply this experience at the Oakland County and work hard for the people of District #4 as their next elected County Commissioner.
Through active engagement with the public, she has applied her knowledge on multiple community organizations. Since becoming an elected official, Karen now sits on 5 community Boards, including Watkins and Williams Lake Board, the Zoning Board of Appeals, Drayton Planes Nature Center Board and Economic Development Corporation of Waterford.
